Share to Fight Dystopia

Share links directly from your phone’s Share Sheet into Fight Dystopia. Both iOS and Android are supported. Full details are also in the Help guide (Sharing from Mobile).

How it works

When you share a URL, Fight Dystopia opens:
https://fightdystopia.net/share?url=[shared URL]

If you’re logged in, you’ll land on the submit page with the URL and title already filled in. Just pick your tags and hit submit. If you’re logged out, you’ll be asked to log in first, then redirected to submit.

iOS (Shortcut)

Create an iOS Shortcut so Fight Dystopia appears in your Share Sheet. Tap it from Safari (or any app) and the link opens pre-filled in the submit form.

Setup: create the shortcut

1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap the + button to create a new shortcut.
3. Tap “Add Action”, search for “Open URLs” (under Web), and add it.
4. In the action, tap the blue “URLs” placeholder and change it to this:
   https://fightdystopia.net/share?url=Shortcut Input
   Type https://fightdystopia.net/share?url= first, then tap “Shortcut Input” from the variable suggestions above the keyboard to append it.
5. Tap the shortcut’s name at the top and rename it to something like “Share to FD”.
6. Tap the ⓘ (info) button at the bottom, then enable “Show in Share Sheet”.
7. Under “Receives”, make sure “URLs” is selected (tap to change if needed).
8. Tap “Done”. You’re all set!

Using it: Tap Share in any app, then tap “Share to FD”. Safari opens with the submit form pre-filled.

On macOS, you can create the same shortcut in the Shortcuts app — it also appears in the Share menu.

Android

Fight Dystopia supports the Web Share Target API, so Android users can share links directly from any app — just like a native app.

1. Open fightdystopia.net in Chrome.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) and select “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
3. Once installed, Fight Dystopia will appear as an option in your system Share Sheet.

When you share a URL from any app, choose Fight Dystopia (or FD) from the share menu and you’ll land on the submit form with the link pre-filled.

Tips

• Make sure you’re logged in in the browser so the form loads directly.
• Both iOS and Android: the shortcut works from any app that shares a URL.
